What got you into officiating?
My friends and I wanted to start hosting tournaments in Georgia. I was trained by Mrs. Alleger at the tournament in Rome, Georgia in 2002.

Why do you continue to officiate?
I enjoy supporting my fellow skiers and the sport.

Who has inspired you in this sport?
I am inspired everyday by my favorite ski buddies: Ryan Gilman, Al Posada, Chris Wakefield, Eric Coryer, Jody Sherwood and of course, Scott Gray.

What skiers have you enjoyed watching and why?
I have always enjoyed watching Scott Gray ski because he always has so much fun! On cold mornings.. he always jumps in with a rebel yell and a "I LOVE BAREFOOTING" at the top of his lungs!

Do you have a nickname and how did you get it?
Miss Betsy. I teach swimming lessons and have for years in North Georgia!

What other activities do you participate in?
I swim, teach swimming lessons and play golf. I also enjoy shoe shopping.
