  What got you into officiating?
I started to judge so that I could have a better understanding of the rules, and I felt that this would help me to become a better skier.
Why do you continue to officiate?
I enjoy being involved with the sport and judging is the best seat to view the action.
Without volunteers to judge, drive, score etc: the tournaments couldn't go ahead.
Who has inspired you in this sport?
My biggest inspiration with judging is Brian Price and Darryl Long.
As a skier I was inspired by John Pennay and Ken Derry Jr.
I was also inspired by John Stekelenberg when he came back after many years out of the sport. He got me from an ok skier, to ski for the 1999 Australian team for the AAO championships.
What skiers have you enjoyed watching and why?
I always enjoyed watching John Pennay ski because he was always so light on his feet. His style was so smooth and effortless.
John was also very professional with his approach to training and competing.

I was also impressed with Brett New on jump. He was able to hit the ramp so smooth and get an amazing amount of lift. His landings where so calm and controlled and he always pushed the world record at every tournament.
  What is your motto?
Always treat people how you wish to be treated.
